Hand Dryers VS Paper Towel

Below, I will be evaluating different categories for hand dryers and paper towels. Hopefully it will give you an idea of what you can expect with both.

Price

I’m not writing this to try and cover anything up. It is true, automatic hand dryers are going to be significantly more expensive upfront to purchase and get placed into your public restrooms. This obviously varies depending on what kind of paper towel dispenser you would be using as well as which automatic hand dryer you will be purchasing. Just like anything, you can pay almost as much as you want for either one. You can get the Cadillac of automatic hand dryers or you can get the Ford Taurus of automatic hand dryers which serves its purpose.

Either way, the good news is that the price will certainly lean toward the automatic hand dryer over time. You might be looking to pay about three times as much for an automatic hand dryer, but statistics show that they save you about 95% in monthly costs versus paper towels which people use wastefully.

Environment

Really, there just isn’t much competition here. When you look at the hand dryers, they do use electricity. However, the latest models have significantly lowered the amount of energy it takes to run them. The manufacturers are aware that their biggest benefit is being a very green product in comparison to the paper towels. They want to be the highest energy saving product in your public restroom.

Unfortunately, paper towels are extremely wasteful and terrible for our environment. We cut down millions of trees each year to make paper towels. The problem is that those trees end up in our landfills, filling them up quickly. There is actually zero benefit in having paper towels in comparison to the hand dryers when it comes to an environmental point of view.

Usability

One of the biggest misconceptions from those who prefer paper towels over using hand dryers is that it simply takes too long to dry GreenHandDryers.Comyour hands with a hand dryer. This is actually very untrue now days. The latest technology has improveddrastically over the years.Where it used to take 30 seconds to dry your hands, we’re now seeing that later models are only taking 10-15 seconds on average. This is a pretty good number considering that if someone uses the appropriate amount of paper towels with wet hands it often takes 10 seconds to completely dry them. So ideally, there is little difference in the timeframe that it takes. When you only have one option available, your customers will notice this similarity.
